The Sain Building is 6 story building that was previously used as County office space, located on approximately 3.6 acres. The building was vacated in 2017. It is located across the street from the Rockland County Court House.

The redevelopment of the property into a mixed use development will provide opportunities for businesses looking for retail or restaurant space within walking distance of Main Street.

Housing Benefits

The additional housing created by the redevelopment of this property will help to alleviate the county-wide housing shortage.

Potential Redevelopment Uses

  Outdoor Space

At least 10% of the property will be used as public open space.

  Restaurants & Shops

Vibrant commercial and retail spaces.

  Housing

Much needed workforce housing that’s attainable to Rocklanders.

  Beautiful & Unobtrusive

Eliminate a neighborhood eyesore and add an appealing new space.
